I have Master DSP cables coming out of my ears and am short of a couple of slave cables. I note that the central pin on the master is connected so can anyone tell me which pin to connect to convert to a slave (if indeed that is all that's required)

thanks guys

Rod

I've built a prototype, six ports because why not, to fit in a Hammond 1593 case. It works, so I'll probably order a few to be fully made and assembled. Given the minimum order quantities, I'll probably have a few spare in a couple of weeks, let me know if you want one.

Yes the midis were 180 degree 5 pin dins - I purchased Midis with removable connector caps because I thought I might have to change the wiring - The midis were terminated just like the other Meridian cables I had and thats when I saw that all pins were wired also - they have worked perfectly for me and my budgetary constraints.

It would be pretty easy to make a BNC patch box with a little wire and some panel mount BNC connectors. Simply connect all the shields and center pins together.

If anyone's interested, I've sketched out this schematic for building a 511 clone. If anyone wants to take a peek and decide it's sane, I'll send the PCB layout I've done off for manufacture after which I'll have a few spares should anyone is interested.

I'm guessing around £25 cased and shipped inside the UK? I'll let you know once I've tweaked the design so I can easily make end plates for this case and put an order in!

I'll also make the CAD data freely available should anyone else want to just order them from somebody like JLCPCB or PCBWay (like I am).

On this note, I easily made myself a SL to DIN/RCA adapter to connect my old style rear speakers.

I'm in the process of 3D printing a box for it.

Cost ~$15.
