I have a friend who has an 861 and he says that every time he starts his 861, after it has been turned off, Axis is set to -1, but he wants it to start with Axis -2. Have tested mine too and it behaves the same way.
I have read through all the manuals and searched the forum, but I can't find out how to set Axis in the Meridian Configuration program, from what I understand you can only set it via the buttons on the 861 front panel.
Are there any other ways to do it?
I have read on the Wiki that it is a workaround but is not a good idea to set Axis individually on each speaker but just let the 861 processor control it.
Wiki AxisThis is from the manual "Meridian DSP Loudspeaker
User Guide" side 32:
If you have a Meridian Surround Controller these
functions are performed via the surround controller.
But my friend wants it to start at Axis -2 after the 861 processor has been turned off. Anyone have any ideas?
