I'm thinking about including some DSP320.2s as Atmos heights. However, being flat to the ceiling, with (from anything I can find on M's site) an unknown sonic dispersion profile, and a physically non-redirectable mid-high towards the main listening position, they may not be the best choice for the job. According to the marketing blurb though, it does have Image Elevation that "psychoacoustically raises the sound image to the centre of a screen – where the listener would expect to hear it from."

Could this be put to use in-ceiling to aim the sound better towards the listening positions?

Is it available only in center channel mode? If not, how would one access it? The only reference to it that I can see in the user guide is in the rs-232 codes (CE SL, OFF, MIN,MED, MAX - Centre Elevation).

Finally, would there be much point in implementing this feature? I don't know how the psychoacoustic wizardry of center elevation works, other than guessing that it might just be cranking the highs and mids to compensate for their off-axis attenuation. At which point, any room correcting processor would do that too during calibration.

My room have different heights, so I found a speaker stand that can be mount very flexible, walls ceiling or an edges (like mine).

They are professionally stands König & Meyer 24496-000-55.

Image elevation only applies to the center channel configured speakers. Remapping on a Trinnov processor can help with speaker placement issues. Dolby specs assume that everyone can hang box speakers aimed like laser beams at the main listening position. Most speakers designed for in wall or in ceiling use have a sixty degree or better dispersion rating so being out of the death ray is not that much of a detriment. It's not like being a bit off axis means you don't hear the speaker or that it doesn't sound good. If that were the case, only one person in the theater would get the best experience.

I use the Kef ci200qr in my bathroom,kitchen and master bedroom through my 258 really happy with the sound performance, I don’t think they need to be much better .
