For fun I connected a Meridian F80 into the Meridian 808v6 MQA DAC. The connection was optical out from the F80 into the optical IN on the 808.

I played several MQA CDs from the F80 and the 808 showed full MQA decoding up to 352khz.

It has been suggested that the F80 sends the CD signal bit perfect to the 808 so does this mean ANY non MQA CD transport that can send a signal bit perfect can be used to play MQA CDs provided it’s connected to a fully decoding MQA DAC?
