Meridian Audio are proud to release a 'Performance Pack' to improve the quality of existing DSP8000 loudspeakers.

Available for all versions of Meridian DSP8000 to date;
DSP8000 Legacy
DSP8000 Speakerlink
DSP8000 Anniversary
DSP8000 SE

The 'Performance Pack' makes available some of the technology from the very latest DSP8000 XE for existing DSP8000 owners.

The most comprehensive upgrade offered by Meridian to date, and developed as part of their Extreme Engineering Program over a number of years.

The upgrade will consist of a new Electronics 'back-panel' complete with;
newly designed Command board running Atlas Software Code containing DSP and DACs
new Amplifiers
new updated Transformers, both now the same size to provide double the previously available wattage for Mid&Top amplifiers.

and in additon the new Ultrasonic tweeter from the XE loudspeaker.

XE has separate Command Board and DACS Board vs combined on single Board in Performance Pack
Amplifiers are based on SE is the Performance Pack, but all new designs in the XE.
Transformers in the Performance Pack are both based on the larger of the two in current SE speaker, but a single, much larger multi-tap design is used in the XE.

At least we now know why Meridian stopped selling SE upgrade kits a while ago to much disappointment.
