Have any body tried to use three 7200HC as front speakers for Tri-field and surround?

I am not picking a fight but I have found a sub useful even with 8kSEs in my A/V system.

I think it depends on whether you prefer to prioritise surround sound or want the flexibility of having an additional system. If the latter, then it comes down to whether you want the detail (and, if anything like the DSP7200SE's) the sound staging of the SE's or the bigger, deeper sound of the 7200's.

As I only have the one system at the moment, my personal choice would probably be to go with the 5200SE's for the living room. I still miss my Meridian surround system, though. It's a shame Meridian don't do the upgrades any more, otherwise I'd say the 7200.2's were the way to go with the option of upgrading them in the future.
