Did I see correctly that the region free option costs another $250USD? I find this a bit steep personally. Currently my main reason for holding off my order.

hey guys
sorry about the delays in getting back with everyone
had some personal issues, then holidays etc. and have been trying to get caught up best I can
I apologize for this
the good news is that many many Oppos will be shipped early next week and I have all the players needed for every order we have so far on the way, so plenty going on and not much more waiting for those that have ordered up until about a week or so back
thanks for everyones business
-Gary Thank you so much for the update. Just to clarify, when you say "many Oppos will be shipped next week", do you mean shipped from you to us or from Oppo to you? Best regards Rafi

Hardware region free on Oppos have always been expensive. You can wait, but it may take a year or so for the mod price to fall off - or you could just buy single region BR discs

If I am going to buy a modified unit (digital transport) from Gary, I find the additional $250 for the region free kit just too much. But this is ofcourse just my opinion ...

Difference: $244: No sale. I was looking at alternative suppliers closer to home, and nowhere I have contacted for the hardware mod is quoting less than USD250 on top of the player price. Gary's price is the market price for this mod - if you don't like it, don't get the mod.

@Gary: Your Paypal link is still inoperative for the US (120V) region-free units. Other versions seem to link OK to your merchant page.
