Agreed on HDDVD, Wii and HTPC, but can we also have Oppo and WMD, please?

Maybe M might allow us to order keys that are more up to-date in the future. I myself would also like to see more choice on the DSP speaker read out. It would be nice to be able to download into the speaker new firmware to also say Blura when that is the choice since it will only do up to five figures.Hopefully both choices will come soon.

With the diversity of the wish list perhaps M should simply include extra blanks so, like mac147, we can get them engraved. Or, offer a bespoke service which I expect would cost more than a fiver a shot.

Ok. I'm certain that Meridian is not going to provide manufacturer- and/or product-specific labels so, much as I'd love PS3, Sky, Oppo and XA1 keys, the following are out:

PS3 (use game)
Oppo
Tivo (use PVR)
Sky(+ or HD) (use Sat or TV)

I reckon these are a realistic request:

HTPC (or PC)
BD
HDDVD
SACD
DVD-A
SOOLO (or something else for Sooloos)

I think that the existing "Music" key is not bad as a generic for a networked audio client. Any other ideas for a networked audio client? NAC?

Oh, JUKE might not be a bad one... It's something that used to be available on 500-series kit.

VK,

Game, PVR and SAT are obvious choices for PS3, Tivo and Sky, if you only have one of each. The problem arises when you have more than one source type and the one logical button is already used. You then find yourself picking the next best choice which is not always logical.

The only way to be certain that M won't reproduce brand names is to ask. They can only say no. The next best solution then would be to have Game2, PVR2, etc.

Still even just having the ability of buying more blank buttons to get them engraved would be a step forward.

Cheers,

Steve

Well, definately:

SACD
BD
DVD-A

Although, it might be nice to have:

SACDM
SACD2

..... for those of us who have setup a phantom input for 2-channels SACD discs.

@Steve: You make a fair point and I'll definitely raise it on Friday at the HH2 event. It would just be good to have a number of "tiers" ready if they ask. To be honest though, I think that more MSR+ keys pretty low on M's list of priorities, particularly when a substantial fraction of the install base will have a custom remote solution.

Apart from additions of missing generics (BD, SACD, etc.), would you be happy if you could buy a second set of duplicate keys?

A second full set of blanks would probably be the way to go . We could then get them made up whatever way we desire . It would be very excellent if somehow they could get the dsps displays to mimic the processors somehow too .
