I notice there's a sticker next to the IEC connector that says "no balanced". does it not accept balanced power ? (I use a ps audio power plant.)

exactly, you can't connect the unit with upgraded power supply into 60/60 balanced power sources, this is because of how the transformer is setup, thankfully with the mods you don't need to plug this into a balanced power rig

the power plant is not balanced power as far as I know, balanced power uses a transformer and the output is labeled as balanced 60v/60v

the unit can be connected to any power setup from Panamax, Monster, PS Audio as long as it delivers straight normal 0/120v

some balanced power setups do have non-balanced outlets on them as well, so you can connect the Oppo there as well

thanks
Gary, the restriction of the modded Oppo to unbalanced power is a serious problem for some of us. What solution can you offer? [/quote]

any balanced power unit will have outlets that are for gear that cannot use balanced power, there are many examples of that, simply connect the modified Oppo to that power section

you can connect the modified Oppo units to any power system setup like a conditioner, UPS etc., just make sure and use a regular 120v/0v outlet on it instead of 60v/60v balanced outlets(this example is for 120v obviously)
