If the CAT5 wiring become a struggle, Belkin offers the F5D4074 - a 200Mbps Powerline adapter for AV purposes.
I think I'll probably do that actually. I already have two 85Mbps powerline jobbies (with one Squeezebox feeding off it) and they work well.
