I just had an airiel problem, they posted me one FOC on asking. The socket is fine. I Use the pigtail airiel, mounted High in my conservatory for my main room DAB Radio. The F80 was returned today, an internal fuse had blown. All FOC. No Carriage charge. It great to have it back..... Cheers, Chris

What is the issue with the aerial sockets?
I've never been convinced that my aerial has worked perfectly, to the extent that I was sent a replacement pigtail aerial which was better but not good enough for use so I have to use the telescopic. I have always suspected that the connection in the socket was not as good as it could have been.
If its going to have to go back for the display to be checked, I may ask them to check the aerial socket too. The connection to the socket snapped leaving the socket hanging loose. The connection is put under strain every time the aerial is tightened, such as when moving the F80 around the house and re-extending the aerial. That is why I shall try and rely on the internal aerial in future.
