One man's steep is another man's reasonable I suppose.

When I shipped some review copies to the UK, I paid $5.50US for airmail. That is as cheap as I could ship them.

Don and I have just approved our filter design. With any luck we should have them back in three weeks. A filter will be shipped to everyone who ordered the disc.

I will answer some of the questions above a bit later.

ps - of course, having used this disc is now making me consider maybe changing out the PS3 and using something else for BR/DVD playback and possibly looking at an external processor, such as the DVDO Edge. So... "thanks"... :-)

If you are playing Blu-ray movies that are 1080p24, the PS3 will produce a fine image. This would be like the "24p (HD Only)" clip under source adaptive deinterlacing. If that plays fine for you, so will your 1080p24 movies on Blu-ray.

We are working on a series of articles that will go into detail and walk people through various uses of the disc. The initial articles cover the basics like setting brightness, contrast and color (w/ tint). We will also publish articles that are pattern specific vs. scenarios. The first article will be published late next week and is on how to set brightness. All of these will be followed up with "how to implement" if you are an engineer.

Thanks, Stacey. Really looking forward to your articles...

When I get some time, I plan to do a writeup/summation on my PS3 with the Pioneer PDP-6010, detailing my settings and findings. I may take some screenshots as well to illustrate what I'm observing. Be interested in getting your and the rest of the Hikers opinion on things...

We have just published our first article on the disc. It is on how to set the brightness control. It is one of the basics. We need to publish the basics before we get into the more advanced stuff.

You will also find an article on how to use our blue filter, which should be ready soon.

I've seen them for sale on this site:
http://www.crtprojectors.co.uk/

I haven't done business with them, but I do plan to order from them, for what it's worth.

BTW - I realized when I was comparing the price I paid to ship to the UK vs. what is being charged on Amazon that I got my conversion backwards. smile Sorry about that.
