I find that quite shocking, particularly two years down the line from first generation players. Chroma detail is already compressed using 4:2:0 encoding, so you're saying we're losing even more detail, even after this compression, on all players except the Panasonics you list?

And I assume your test patterns reveal this issue? I need to check my BDP-S550 right away!
