Might be interested...if it's viable replacement for Meridian 800v3. I hope for a reviewer who has spent some time with the Oppo and can describe the changes/differences to the Meridian. I've no complaints with the 800 except it's limited to CD/DVD formats...

Hi there, I'd be interested in the cost of a 'fully loaded' machine, SPDIF, Region free with HD-SDI. Here are the non-Powerbuy prices: http://www.custom-ht.com/oppo.html
HD621, G98DH, G68ADV, Bc Acoustiqe ACT A3, 5200C DSP33, NuForce Reference 9 monoblocks, 2x SB3's, Velodyne DD-15 & DD-12 Subwoofers and a Meridian sub.

ok, it seems we have a wide area of interest here, so maybe I can offer anything you want and if 10 units are met I can apply a discount percentage
please give opinions on how you would want this to be
at minimum I will need each player to have at least one mod, so region free would cover that
thanks guys, I don't see any reason why 10 players couldn't be sold, so expect this to happen very soon

I have received quite a few PMs on the Oppo, like 5+, and 3 or 4 emails directly thanks guys if possible please also post in this thread as well so I can get a count of you all I was originally going to do the Oppo with just the SPDIF mod, but I have people wanting a little of this and that of everything including HD-SDI, region free, SPDIF, digital transport ed., ultimate analog audio ed., so I am going to figure something out on the group buy discount if we can reach 20 players things get even better thanks again

" DVD HDCD CD any type of hi rez media files Blu-Ray(internal decoding of ever format nameable) SACD DVD-Audio all decoded internally and output from the SPDIF mod, no EDID stuff to deal with, no HDMI output connection needed " But can they be output from HDMI for input into HD621 for example ? Not sure I'd need SP-DIF mod as my 2 inputs are currently occupied by 598 and HD621 so PCM via HDMI would seem best in my case along with Region Free mod ( I've proudly never owned a region-taxed player ) ~M~
Mostly harmless. Comfortably numb.

yes, all formats decoded internally and output as PCM from HDMI or the 4x SPDIF mod, you don't need either one to enjoy the other and both work at the same time
thanks

So I'd be interested in a Digital Transport Ed. with Region Free mod then ? A 2nd DVD-A capable player would be a bonus and all through HD621 too . Very interested too ~M~

if you just wanted the best quality possible digital signals via HDMI then yes that is exactly what you want, along with region free if you need that capability
thanks

How much fan noise does the BDP-83 make? I have a very quiet listening room, don't want audible fan noise when I'm listening to SACD.
Otherwise, very interested in a BDP-83 with clock, PS, and SPDIF output mods.
861v?, MBL 116/111/121, McIntosh amps, music server, Oppo/switch-box 980 SACD/DVD
