For what it's worth, I would prefer to see dedicated outputs right above the HDMI outputs.

I agree with dedicated outputs above the HDMI.

I have 3 for each now LOL!

going to go with the dedicated outputs above the HDMI output area in the gray colored section

I was going to do the stock connector mod only if every response was ok with it

thanks

Gary

When you talk about $1099 as the purchase price for a unit is this an 'ex purchase tax' price? Translated into sterling at this value gives a good price in but what are the potential additional costs for units exported to the UK? Would you charge additional postage costs and if so what might a reasonable estimate of them be? Also, and I think that this has been overlooked by those enthusiastic at the price quoted, what is the likely UK import taxation cost? I recall several years ago when I brought in goods from a holiday in the States that I was charge about 22% duty (not the 17.5% VAT I was expecting!)

I'm slightly confused.

Having owned a 568 and G68 I am reading this thread with interest and looking to jump back in and obtain a 568.2

My query is how are the 4xS/PDIF outputs from this device connected to the 568.2?

Apologies if this is an obvious question!!

Three of the four SPDIF outputs connect to the SmartLink DB15 connector using a VGA breakout cable on the 568.2MM only.

I take care of overseas customers, let justs put it that way wink

claiming the units as modified/repaired gear often has the buyer pay zero import duties, and it is not a lie on the forms

we ship more overseas than in our own country, you are in good hands

the 10+ 1099$ may not be the shipped price to overseas though, overseas shipping will probably be 50 to 75 $, I will work something out best I can

20+ is going to get a lower than 1099$ price and if so far is any indication that should be met easily eek

thanks

FYI I sold a Lumagen HDP to a guy in Germany last year, and the airmail postage was about $52. So Gary's estimates are likely to be spot on for calculating your final cost.
