Hi Phil,

Thanks for the report. Could you report up which cable you bought? Or are all VGA to RCA coax cables the same pinout? I guess using the VGA switch box isn't presenting any problems? I also have a 598DP which I wouldn't mind still having in the system even when/if the new Oppo player supports DVD-A.

I would have thought they are all the same .. Meridian would prefer you to buy a 513 of course. I got mine from here: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Ele...Phono-Plugs-1-5-Metre-Cable/Product.html

Thanks, Phil.

So with the switch box, you're not seeing anything wierd when you switch between sources?

Hi George,

I thought we'd landed on a protocol whereby threads on the HD621 should be specific and not duplicating topics. Surely a thread about HD621 and 568.2mm is specific and would help anyone searching the site by thread to hit it pretty much right away. This one is only 3 pages long now but it'll soon be more.

I guarantee I hate long mega threads more than you hate multiple threads (unless of course you pay by the thread) wink

cheers

Rgds,
Nick

ENOUGH ALREADY WITH THE COMPLAINTS !!!

I do the best I can.

A Mega Thread is Bad and Mega Amount of threads is bad.

If someone is new to thr forum finding info if it's scatter on 20 threads it's a PITA. If someone if looking for something specific and has to read a mega thread it's a PITA.

I try to judge something in between.

When I saw 568 (I thought, there is nothing that is that special about the 568 that has not already been discussed).

I split many threads too.

With a bit of luck I'll have one to play with tonight. Probably a weekend trying to sort out HDCP issues crazy
