John - has this gone to the great Q&A graveyard in the sky or is there still an expectation that M will respond? I'm at something of a crossroads with my Meridian gear and some responses to last years questions would presumably be useful.

Hi JK, not wishing to start another long list of complaining and stating the obvious, but is it possible to chase M HQ up? As you can see from the dates below, questions were closed off Jan 01 and provided to M Jan 27. It is now March 20. By my calculations, that is 52 days since M received the questions and 38 business days M have had to mull over the answers. I appreciate the HD621 has dropped in the middle of this, but I also expect M have more than just Bob running the shop. I appreciate that M don't ' have' to provide the answers, but if they are kind enough to offer, they should also be kind enough to follow through. I don't have Bob's email or I would write him a polite reminder myself. Cheers, Chris All: As an FYI, I have sent out the Q&A to galactic HQ this evening. I apologize for the delay on my part. Getting back from CES I lost the better part of a week to a nasty bout of the flu that still hasn't completely gone away. That accounts for me getting it out about a week later than I had wanted to. Yes, I'm fine! Best Regards, I'm sitting down with Bob and Richard Hollingshead tomorrow at 3:30pm PST. I don't know how long this will take as I have quite a bit of editing to do based on announcements at CES. I'm up in the middle of the night and I'm going to mark this post as the close of questions for Q&A.

Possibly pedantic, but the Questions were actually posed to Meridian on January 10th last at CES (John's middle post above)
Meridian actually answered most / all of the questions that day (January 10th) This Process undoubtedley took John, Bob and Richard several hours to discuss and complete
The Q&A sent by John on January 27th was merely a "Fact" Check on the Answers.
This is what mystifies me about the delay. They have already answered the Questions!!! A Fact Check should surely be the simplest, least time consuming part of the overall process

Fair enough, Chris. Post removed. Let's see what happens shall we? But I reserve the right to re-post if the silence continues.

Okay, before this starts again... can we please not. This was a genuine request to JK to prompt Bob and M. I think everyone has had a fair shot at rehashing the obvious. I'm just keen to see the answers. Cheers, Chris

They shouldn't need prompting , Chris , isn't that the point ???? I think prm's post certainly reflects my feelings . I too have supported M for years ( as they have me btw ) .
To not be able ( or want ) to respond to an e-mail is really not acceptable in the current climate .
Very sad indeed .........

The folks at M are exceptionally busy. I have quite a bit of sympathy for them as I'm in the same boat professionally.
Right now, I'm in the midst of several projects any one of which would be considered a full time job. It's a matter of me trying not to let anything major break at this point. I can easily imagine M being in the same boat.

Perhaps there are answers to the questions that rely upon modifications or revisions to products, such as new cards, inputs etc., but which have still not been introduced. These delays might in turn have delayed the replies (only John and Meridian will know if this is the case).
Some kind of response suggesting that the answers are pending but due soon would be nice and friendly!

Obviously, everyone had hoped that the answers would have been delived as quickly as per the CEDIA 08 Q&A (two weeks turnaround), but it wasn't to be. Inevitably, Meridian's reputation for poor communication will only be reinforced the longer this takes, but I don't think much can be added in this thread with respect to the delay.
May I suggest that this thread is temporarily locked? (I no longer have "the power"...)
