Does anyone have first hand experience of this player with their Meridian system as I would be extremely interested to hear how if fairs?
Current system: Meridian 861v6, HD621, DSP5200SE, Pioneer BDP-LX91, Pioneer Kuro KRP600A. Nagra CDC used as CD transport, Chord Sarum digital coaxial lead
Future upgrades needed: Nagra Classic PSU, DSP5200SE HC, DSP3200 for rears or stick to stereo and get DSP 7200SEs!!

I do not have first hand experience with this player but I have the baby brother working in my system (LX71) and I find it to be very good for the money!!! Picture and sound is excelent!!! and I am using analogue audio outs to the G68.
The extra money spent on the LX91 model was much better build quality and focus on CD playback as well as a few other things. If this is an area you want to improve then take a good audition. Otherwise I would raise the idea of investing in the LX71 and a HD621. Decisions........
Just waiting for the DTS Master Audio firmware update very soon. Pioneer have been pretty good as they have uploaded around 4 new versions of firmware since launch which shows there commitment to optimize the product line.
Dedicated theater room: 30'x15'x9 11-4-4 Atmos System. Trinnov Altitude16, 271, DSP750 LCR, DSP7200.2, sides, 7200SE Rear, 5200.2 front sides, 4 x 320.2 atmosphere, 4 x 24" GSG Subs, 2 x Stereo Integrity 12000 (6000w per sub each with own 30amp circuit) JVC NZ900+DCR Lens Projector, Kaleidescape system.

Thanks for the reply. I want a great Bluray player as well as DVD/CD player for my system and was hoping that 'M' might have a solution to my problem soon!! That not being the case I will be looking at Pioneer LX91 for Bluray as well as Meridian G96 to handle DVD/CD and use a HD621 with the system. Don't know yet whether I would put G96 through HD621 or better result with digital out to 861 via Chord Indigo+ digital lead for sound and HDMI to media box of Pioneer Kuro KRP-600A for picture!.
Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated.

Loud and Clear in Edinburgh.
Listeing to Master and Commander, my wife was gobsmacked and I was smiling as she now wants me to upgrade, life can be soooo good sometimes. I'm even getting a room in our new house just for the system.

We had a BDP-LX91 in the shop running into a G68 to digital theatre. We used the 6 channel out into the 6 channel in on the G68. Picture was amazing (also plugged into a 600a) probably the best quality picture I have ever seen on any plasma.
Sound was far better than I expected, using the 6 channel out was not ideal as it meant the G68 was a 6 channel pre amp rather than processor, but still far beyond DVD quality audio
I am about to buy a BDPLX91 for myself its a beast!

Hi, I have using an Elite BDP-09FD for the past month, replacing the previous 94...with a Meridian 861 v4. Even without the HD621 it is an excellent picture...a significant improvement over the 94...at least looking at the picture side...It much faster than the older unit and works much more smoothly. Sound wise I will know more after the HD621 arrives...assuming it works properly....on the HD621 thread there seem to be some teething issues....but I have no idea if that is real or not.
