A smaller remote control that you can hold and use in 1 hand.

Currently using a cyrus remote control for volume (same RC5 codes for volume, just a shame it won't switch inputs)

Despite my 'winging' on the CES Q&A thread, I've been quite happy to be a Meridian customer over the last 13 years. I've had great sounding gear and first-rate service when the need arose. It would have been nice to get a bit more regular innovation into 861 and a bit more clarity into what might be coming - but right now Meridian should do what they need to do to stay in business in this horrible economy. As owners of their kit, we would be left fully high-and-dry if M were to go bust.

My Kit: 861v8+ID41, 800v4, UHD722, MD600, MS600, MS200, Oppo BDP-203, Genesis 201, Genesis 350 SE, Genesis S4-8 Sub, BG 520i, VTL MB450 II, Krell Showcase 7, Genesis 928 Subs, Danley DTS10 sub, SVS Ultra 16 subs.

New buttons for the Msr+ and the ability to mimic them on the Speaker displays ?

And the ability to select individual DSP presets ( eg.function+DSP+1,2,3 etc ? )

Bearing in mind M's right and need to hold certain details back as detailed by Bob Stuart in the Cedia Q+A 2008 , and say , for example , Squeezebox Roadmaps published over at www.slimdevices.com and their developers participation on that forum , any attempt to find a happy medium that would improve the current 'Cold War ' wink

+1 on both of these!

1. Although I should get off my backside and program the universal remote, I still haven't but a BD and HDDVD key for the MSR+ would be nice.

2. When I got my DSP5200s and saw there was a G series comms mode I presumed this was for sending source names to the device. But alas. Therefore when my G68 says HDDVD my 5200s say VCR2. It looks tacky and out of date.

Otherwise, yeah keep up the good work. It just seems that they have slowed down on their output. Back in 02 we had the 568.2mm, 861v3 and 598, then in 03 there was the huge G series launch. Since then, just a trickle and no BIG BANG. Not that we need much new, and the HD621 is the final piece in the puzzle for many.

Edit and update the handbooks. We don't need glossy but we do need accurate and helpful.

Yes, I agree. Would this be too difficult or expensive to offer?

Perhaps we should get up a petition?

It would probably be cheaper for Meridian (upon request) to give users with a Mac a free laptop with Windows Xp than redevelop the software. grin
