I must be one of the few that find the G91 buggy and unreliable.
I has played a few tricks on me already; refused to play discs, no picture on HDMI and freezing display. Still under warranty so that was sorted out.
Today it started acting up again, freezing up while playing DVD's - all of them, though the clock/counter is still running.
It does not inspire confidence in the product and I think the "ten times better correction" is pure hyperbole, I would rather have it say "ten times more sensitive and prone to error" and not being able to read discs as well as MUCH cheaper products.
It does not switch scenes as seamless as the cheap Oppo DVD player I bought for my sister and it does not even put out a better image, though the sonic qualities are top notch, I'll say that.
I am still grieving going from the 500-series and investing in the G-series, stylish looks, a lighter wallet and no better performance is what I got. Oh, and a certain sense of not trusting the gear will work properly in a few years time which is a notion I have never had with Meridian before.
