Does anyone know if the Octava switch has a rack mount option?

So then the Octava acts as a sink? It seems so. The problem with the 'auto scan' feature is that it will turn off the switch if there is no display detected. With 'auto scan' disabled, you can just turn on and off the unit yourself, and it will also stay on without display. As said, after disabling the 'auto scan' feature, the unit stayed on after I turned the display off, and the PS3 kept playing the SACD. Would you mind too much verifying that the Octava acts as a sink even after you turn everything off and back on? How about if you just have the Octava run the PS3 with no other HDMI devices in the switch? (Since I was already asking! :)) I bought a CLUX without understanding I needed an HDMI sink, and it's going back (unless I can find a sink for less than $100). If the Octava works as a Sink, then great. -Pie

How about if you just have the Octava run the PS3 with no other HDMI devices in the switch? Yes, that works. After disabling the auto scan feature on the Octava, the unit just stays on, even if all sources and monitors are turned off. You can just insert a (SA)CD into the PS3 and it will play. Just to be clear, my plasma screen is connected to the Octava, but turned off (standby actually). I do not know whether it will make a difference if I really disconnect the plasma from the Octava.

Hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

I'm probably going to mod an Octava myself soon, and so because I had EDID (and HDCP!) issues with the CLUX I emailed Octava about their EDID support. With the CLUX, because my RS-1 only supports 2ch PCM that is all the CLUX forwarded to the source players, rather than adding the 8ch PCM support that the CLUX has! Here's Octava's responce to my 8ch PCM EDID question: "We include 2 sets of code. 1)THe default code ( the one installed with the box)Parses the connected sources for the EDID 2) We also include a set of optional "static EDID" for you to install if that is what you prefer." So EDID shouldn't be an issue here HDCP could still be though. The CLUX connected fine (apart from 2ch only) with my Panny BD but wouldn't connect to my Toshiba A35 at all.

I have ordered a board from Shawn and will install it too.
I will take some pics and do a 'how to', showing exactly what wires go where, if anyone is interested??
No Darling, I've had it months!
