Crion, Can you please elaborate to an intermediate level what this entails. I assume the signal goes from a single digital out to the 621 and then it comes out to my G68 through MHR (3 blue wires). But I am confused with other informatin on this forum. Will any server, including the Sooloos, sent out the format (i have no clue what that is called) that will work through the 621 or is it just one specialized unit from Israel that is compatible. Sorry for probably being very mixed up here but I seem to be transitioning from pure neophyte to dangerously minimally educated.

Ok, I'll try:

My Audio/Video server can play HD and Blu-Ray today but it can't output LPCM audio over HDMI (which the HD621 needs), this changes with the ATI Radeon 4850 graphics/audio card. This card can output HDMI with 8 channel LPCM sound. HDMI is output directly to the HD621 and from there with 3xSPDIF to the G68/861.

The PC based HD Audio/Video server has some simple basic needs
* Dual Core Processor
* ATI 4850 Radeon Graphics/Audio card
* Internal storage or NAS available somewhere on your network
* PowerDVD/TMT Media player
* AnyDVD HD for ripping Blu-Ray to HDD or NAS.
* 100Mbit network

Sooloos is not an HD Audio/Video server yet, but I have a feeling Meridian is gearing up for it, otherwise they wouldn't go through the trouble of buying the company.

The HDI BD Prime Client does do everything on paper, it plays Blu-Rays and decodes the advanced lossless Dolby True HD and DTS Master HD audio formats and outputs them over LPCM into your HD621. I have not recieved it yet, but I will test it soon I hope. I consider this a beta project, but might get stable within a year, possibly sooner.

Just getting a Sony BDP 550 BD Player is ofcourse the easy way of getting a BD disc played with all advanced lossless formats decoded to your HD621, but I see spinners as interim..
