The Acoustical Society of Japan conducted just such a test.

Detection Threshold for Distortions Due to Jitter on Digital Audio

The test was flawed for a number of reasons, but they found that jitter was not audible to trained listeners until it reached several hundreds of nanoseconds (several hundreds of thousands of picoseconds) which is an unbelievably high amount. Depending on whose doing the measuring, most decent CD players have jitter of less than 250 picoseconds. I am unaware of any software program that would allow you to conduct your own tests.
