This is poorly worded and is what causes confusion. Some folks will think your asking about just the front 3 and imediatly say no.

I would ask will the Trifield DSP preset still provide a front stereo image and rear ambience with 4.x or 6.x speakers and no center.

Oh and while we are at it does Trifield with a center alter the front left and right speakers (i.e. does it subtract info to place in center or rears).

You have to watch out for Marketing answers too wink
