Looking on the Sooloos website I saw this section on "The Music" page:

Quote
Pre-loaded & Ready to Rock:
Your Sooloos system is customized to include your existing CD library, with cover art, credits, genres, moods, song picks and album reviews. From there, adding more music is easy. When you order your music through Sooloos, you get the original CDs along with an encoded high-capacity disc that your system imports in minutes — no ripping required!

Now that could save a lot of time! Best of both worlds - back-up on CD and in the system itself.

The Sooloos Shop is potential (smaller) revenue stream and keeps banging their (now Meridian) drum. Builds familiarity with the brand from another angle.
Cheers,
