If I find any other compatibility issues I'll post them.

How about adding a DVI Detective Plus then? It can not only store the EDID from the projector/display but also has four "ready-made" EDID's to select from (DIP switches) for cases like this, I believe. And it forwards HDCP.

That is an interesting little box. Being DVI it should not be able to carry audio (and the CLUX apparently has a problem with DVI sinks) but it the manual states the EDID it presents has options for audio in it. So it may be sort of quasi-HDMI. It also sounds like it may act as a sink as well.

The built in EDID framerates are limited to 50/60hz though.

Did a little more searching on the DVI Detective Plus and one of Gefen's tech support people claim it is designed strictly for video EDID, not audio.

http://forum.gefen.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8232

Gefen's tech support doesn't always seem to be 100% accurate....

Apologies if this is a completely stupid question, but if I have a G91A (and not an 861 or G68) will this still work?

It's not a stupid question but the answer is unfortunely no. The G91 does not have a digital multi-channel input.

Lowest end unit is a G61 or 568.2.

To clarify, that's a 568.2MM (568.2 with a multi-channel MHR module).

I can confirm that. The CLUX doesn't want to work with the HDFury. I even tried changing the HDFury's EDID to no avail.

I'm going to order a HDFury2 and try it with that. The HDFury2 should work since it's HDMI rather than DVI.

[Addendum: This type of DVI-D interoperability problem, from my research, could be corrected through a software update on the CLUX. Anyone care to pursue that with the folks at CYP?]

I sent them an email this morning regarding the A35/RS1 problem. I also suggested adding a feature that the CLUX act as a sink if there is no active display plugged into it.

If I hear back from them I will also mention the DVI issue as well.

Toshiba HD-DVD players are full of bugs.
If i not tell them the disply only understands p24 i get p60. Some moron who programmed it must have thought 60 is better than 24 since the number is higher..

It carries audio. I know of a couple of people having it between their HTPC source and HDMI reciever, when they turn off their projector the graphics card no longer turns off the HDMI port - and the audio is passed through.

If it is DVI, how can it carry audio? DVI does not have audio on its pins, just analogue and digital video.

There are enough pins to carry audio, it's just not included in the DVI specs since that's not the intention. I don't have one myself, but that's how I understand it.
