Jerry, yes, all 4 zones are independent of each other. Each zone gets what it wants.
If you have a pda, you can download all the info to it and then control via pda.
They estimate January as the launch. ~$17k was the price.

Fantastic! What I really like about Meridian is their no compromise approach. Its few companies that put out products that one can "trust" will have the right quality.

Personally I am very excited about the 880. Not sure about everyone else, but I have a few hundred CDs and on many of them I only like a song or two. I hate listening to a song and then getting up to switch CDs. The only other options have been using another jukebox / changer or ripping and buring onto a CD-R.
With the 880, you can sit on your butt all day and just enjoy the songs you like.
What else...Oh yea, it upsamples on the output.

Agree the 880 sounds awesome...What does it look like? Any pics? ![[Linked Image from softronix.com]](http://www.softronix.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) Also, is there any way to high speed (USB/1394) transfer to/from a portable such as an iPod...? I'm a little late to this thread but one question I'd always wanted to ask Meridian is what their thoughts are on "digital" (class D / switching) amps. A number of competitors (TACT etc.) seem to be getting pretty good results with these efficient designs & you'd think this technology would be right up Meridian's street. Anyone ever asked re this? Paul.

Stacey, I find the 880 very exciting for the same reasons. I was thinking about going for an 800, but I might splurge on the 880 and just get my Panny H1000 upgraded to SDI output as I am less excited by DVD-A and while the budget is generous, its not 880+800+ a bunch of 8000s generous ![[Linked Image from softronix.com]](http://www.softronix.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Jerry
If you want an SDI DVD player and you can't get an 800, I HIGHLY recommend the RP82. As a low budget DVD player, it gives you DVD-A and FLI2200 for $229.
The RP82 is my favorite DVD player under $3500.
