thats some wiring job innit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bet they were all bunched up neat and tidy when everything was installed too only for you to come into the room the following morning to find the cable scrambling gremlins had come and gone. The xbox power supply unit always makes me laugh.

I like those Naim Fraims. You need to get the feather duster out though... smile

Apologies for being a little late to thegame but it took me a while to get my pics to goodolddog who was/is kond enough to "host" them for me...that said, here goes....

The first picture is the front of my rack which is buil into a cupbiard in the basement with the home theater actually being on the main floor of the house...the equipment, in descending order, is as follows:

-- Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD-PVR
-- Crestron PRO2 processor
-- Lumagen RadianceXD
-- Meridian 861 V4.2
-- Meridian 558.2
-- APC S-15

The following pictures are the back of the rack with a few caveats:

-- Because the back of the rack is in a cupboard that is essentially only as high as the rack (i.e. it is under a set of stairs) and two feet deeper than the rack it is very difficult to take good pictures so apologies in advance...the other related point is that it does not give a good idea / perpsective of how good / neat of a wiring job the installers did.

-- Because the software I have is not very good these pictures need to be rotated 90 degrees to be viewed...was in rush, could not do this, but at least you have an idea.

-- And finally, you will see that not all my equipment is in the rack and that against the side wall there are two shelves and other equipment the specifics of which are:

-- Crestron PAC2M for lighting control (attached to wall)
-- GE serial control module for my alarm (attached to wall)
-- 2 LinkSys modems and a DSL modem (top shelf)
-- WD 2TB NAS and a SONOS ZP90

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and, as always, comments are welcome..

Dear Ivan,

A very elegant solution, do your shelves slide in and out, i.e. are they floating shelves.

I wondered the same as MI'. I previously had static shelves like that and it was a real P.I.T.A. to manage the cabling (even for simple changes). Looks nice though.

Dear Nick, I am assuming that there is a gap between wall and rear of shelves to aid cable management, but I agree with your sentiments! Time to put on the design hat I think
