Hi Nick,

You might want to check the latest version of DVD2one, because since V2.2 you can use Audio Remaster on-the-fly using the SqueezeBox. Besides this, the engine is updated and sounds better than ever. I already used this feature for a long time myself (since december of 2005), but never found a way to make it a product. Finally I just decided to build it into DVD2one.

I am looking forward what you think of the current engine. I am using it on-the-fly with multiplier 47 on my dual quad Mac Pro, using around 60% of CPU time ...

My filters do much more than 'apodizing' ... that's only just the icing on the cake ... it does not cause the characteristic sound of Audio Remaster.

Coming back to the Q+A, there did not seem to be any answer to the question about updating and improving handbooks: for example, the 808.2 is shipped with a 808 handbook, and the 7200 handbook is full of errors and omissions.

Coupled with our Wiki...

Incidentally, I reckon the F80 can be used with a 562 and four external sources using the MSR+ remote without much inconvenience. I'll be adding this to the Wiki.

Malcolmw, Its like No other Meridian Manual.

Its Attractive, well laid out with full colour pics of a Red F80 using text overlays to explain operation simply.
The paper quality is also good.

Like an expensive car brochure.

Nice one Meridian, Cheers Chris smile

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. It just shows what can be done with effort and imagination. But it had to be approved by Ferrari, so I suppose that introduced extra quality control.

Does it warn you not to move the F80 without unplugging it from the wall socket?
