I prefer the old one but I agree with the criticism by our esteemed colleague, Mr. Doody. The new one is trying too hard and the two stylized Ms is one too many in my opinion. Also its a lot of black space. Many companies like to have large black areas and black brochures, they think its cool. It comes off to me as trying too hard. The M in the box is also 15-20% too small.
best regards, Jerry

I get the feeling that Uncle Bob is as involved as ever. Not sure about Uncle Allan. Isn't it Allen? Also they were both quite visible! Cheers,

I personally like the old one, precisely because of the names displayed. It somehow feels those people are confident enough in their product to put their names at stake . When considering market impact, brand positioning and brand awareness, it might be that they made the right choice with the new logo.

It just occurred to me that Meridian was, of course, named after the Greenwich Meridian. I wonder if they considered a vertical line somewhere in the logo?

The old one was OK, the new one is ugly - plain and simple.
And I agree about the Nakamichi logo.

I think the new one is more "fresh", but I really like the oldschool spelled out Meridian on the DSP8k. But on processors and such (smaller items) I think the new M is just fine. Now George, how is it going on the logo replacement on this site. Don't forget to read the instructions how much black bars you need on the page
