Which unit is the "Transparent" power conditioner? What's the bottom unit as I had assumed it was a satellite box or other source?

And the same "Satellite" Box is also on the floor to the right hand side of the Centre 5500. Whatever that means................

Converting Cat5 back to regular comms for the D5500c???

Calling Meridian... It's not exactly a secret that this box exists!

I wonder if Shunyata knows Meridian is using Transparatent instead of their products? ;-)

Still on the phone? Put on hold maybe as they were expecting you? Or maybe a NDA.

Listner:

The blurb says they showed high definition content. What was the source? I don't see anything but the 800 as a source. If no HDMI source was used, it is unlikely the unidentified box is OUR box.

There are three possible sources:

1) The laptop PC.
2) The box to the right of the 800 kit.
3) The box on the bottom of the rack (if it's not a power conditioner).

Don't Meridian demo HD from a hard disk recorder? This avoids them endorsing a Bluray or HD machine.

1) The laptop looks like an Apple MacBook and I don't think they have Bluray drives, though they could have ripped a Bluray to disk with an external Bluray drive and played it back using a mini-DVI to DVI to HDMI adapter(s). Is there software for the Mac that plays Bluray rips?
2) The box to the right of the 800/861 is a mystery. Is it an external Bluray drive attached to the Macbook?
3) The box on the bottom shelf is a Transparent Power Isolator.

There must be two HDMI sources somewhere. One could be the 800, but that would be for DVD (unless they secretly put a Bluray drive in the second drive bay!) Why else the 421?

What inputs/outputs are available on the Meridian video processor and what inputs are available on the Meridian 810?

That box is a DViCO TViX 6500 most likely.
You can playback a .M2TS with it. Also .TS
It has HDMI out, and coaxial out.
