I do not want to ignore Virus Killer and Ian in what has been a fascinating and deeply revealing discussion but is there another implication to be teased out here? From what has been said about buffers, does this mean that mixing speakers with different buffers, or even using "the same" speakers (i.e all 5200's, for example)with different generation buffers has implications for jitter? If different speakers in a five or seven speaker set-up have differing levels of jitter, will jitter hence be more obvious? Will the speakers fail to blend together?
