My big beef with the Sonos, as well as almost all the other music servers, is that the interface is almost completely pop-oriented. If you're a big classical music listener, like me, a pre-defined Artist/Album/Song hierarchy just doesn't cut it.
I've been working on a more flexible web-based controller for my own use, knitting together library apps like iTunes and J River with playback devices like the Squeezebox. I've toyed with the idea of commercializing it, but after 20 years in the software biz I know a small market when I see it
