i'm searching for new speakers, have tested my G57 with Sonus Faber Cremona M and Sonus Faber Elipsa Auditor. way too much bass (even with tiny Elipsa Auditor!) and harsh treble. I'm very much disapointed. currently i have Legacy Focus at home (took from a friend), which i also don't appreciate with G57. For today best sound in Meridian analogue system i heard from Vandersteen Quattro.
I miss my old Meridian setup.

Looks that Meridian amp likes speakers with high impendanse. Sonus Faber and Legacy are 4 Ohm nominal, sound sucks with any of my two G57.
I have OCOS cable and their own resistor, which converts load to 8 Ohm. G57 + resistor+Legacy sound MUCH better.
I miss my old Meridian setup.

Bear in mind that Sonus faber is known for its warm sound, in your perception is has become to warm. So I think it is the combination of things before that, that finally result in the reproduction of sound. The Ocos is very neutral LS, does not add any colouration to the sound, but the use of interlinks might do. When the treble is very harsh you may not want to use very open interlinks, but rather copper based as copper is more 'warm'. Downside of copper based interlinks is that the bass is also more emphasised. This might be bypassed by using a combination of copper and silver, or silver and gold like the interlinks from Siltech. When the bass is still to 'round', a trick can be to use dampers on equipment or speakers itself. They can limit the standing waves or the resonance of the speakers given to the floor. The standard supplied powercables could be replaced by something better, the results of this could be staggering too.
The placement of the speakers is another topic, toe-in or not, close to the walls or not, the room environment like carpets, furniture.
Just don't think that Sonus Faber and Meridian do not match, merely the matching of everything in between. It's a lot of trail&error.
Stereo: ML360s, ML390s, Meridian 800v2, Chapter Audio Sonnet, Preface & Couplet 400s, Shunyata Hydra, Vivid K-1s
