...I'm not even sure anyone has done an HD-DVD player. You may be the first for Switch-Box to even attempt it? Shawn has successfully modded both the original Toshiba HD-A1 and the current HD-A35. In fact he has been advertising his original A1 testbed for sale on the AVS Classifieds and the 'Gon all this winter! $375 and still no takers. I suspect that the slow load times and alleged buggy nature of the 1st gen players has kept people away. I contemplated buying it but decided I wanted the best available SD upscaling possible and more solid construction (the audio snob in me I guess  ). If you are interested make him an offer.
