Haknys, if Meridian were a big Company like Sony etc, I see your point. But they are not and have to stay in business.
For the new formats they need to wait as it could all go the way of DVD-A.
Meridian do not benefit from the economies of scale larger companies enjoy.
They probably cannot afford to subsidise players to create markets as major players can.
Whatever they do do, it will be well worth the wait, but wait we must.
They really are in a NO win situation here and quality seems to be their eventual goal.
Alot of what I watch is not in any HD format and very possibly never will be.
For me, I cant afford it yet anyway, and as such have no choice in the matter.
