Unfortunately, this reads as reflective of M's current communications and customer engagement strategy. frown

Maybe silence is a kind of message that something's coming, but just not right now. Maybe soon. Or maybe a bit later.

Well I put some questions in there that was not only the HDMI one and I would very much like those discussed/answered. I'm intrigued by the DSP Speaker future direction.

Similarly , I've sent 2 seperate e-mails this week regarding some problems with a 561 unit that my ' owner ' use(d) to ease the pain of my music + movie watching habits , No reply and not even an 'Out of office ' notice , ie. we're busy with something else but we'll be back in touch eventually .

I've spent the last 10 years saving/spending/borrowing to build my system but I find all this to be very disappointing .

Bob sent a note yesterday (I think it was) that was very apologetic.

Occasionally he does have to run the business wink

Cheers,

John:

Appologetic that he has been slow in responding or that he doesn't plan to respond?

Bob will respond. I'm as disappointed as the rest of us that there has been such a delay but, as JK says, the man does have a business to run... Much as we would like it, we're not the at the centre of the Galaxy.

But we are at the end of the universe.

Whilst I sympathise with everyone wanting to know answers, its not very long ago when we were kept in the dark because that was the best that we could hope for - a catalogue once a year, if lucky, possibly a price list, often littered with TBA or Q4.

With the internet, everyone suddenly expects a company to be totally open and forthcoming with timely information. I think possibly that the expectation of the consuming public has possibly overtaken the real world workings of a company.

Its not as if Meridian have kept us totally in the dark. We know that are working on HDMI solutions, we know what was announced for public consumption at Ceedia.

We are simply awaiting the answers to some very specific, in depth and often commercially sensitive areas provided by a the head of a small company and consolidated by a member of this forum.

I believe that simply by being in the position to have this opportunity, we are privileged. It will be a big bonus when the answers come but im just a little disappointed that some people are publicly airing their impatience as if they have a right to this information.

He's planning to respond. Part of the delay is mine as well. Had I gotten them to Bob quicker; we might not have run into these scheduling issues of his.

A quick heads up -- Bob has the questions back to me... I have to reformat them into UBB and will post them sometime this weekend.

I'm off to some appointments at the moment.

Best,

Ok, I'm wondering if Bob will say something about the new G96 (replacement for the G98)
and the G92 (replacement for the G91 without DVD-Audio support).
The new units will have slots instead of drawers.
