I still have, what I believe was, the very first US DVD release of It's a Wonderful Life. It was a THX certified version from 'Republic' and came with a little Christmas ornament of a bell to hang on a tree. I see the disc rights have now moved to Paramount with the new two-disc release. Tempting, but I've never felt let down with the original DVD when I watch it every year (I may do this year mind you pending how I think it looks on a 50inch plasma compared to my old 32inch CRT).
