More trolling through the new price guide, I saw a reference to 3200 and 3200HC speakers.
They are bookshelf speakers, as the reference is in the stand descriptions for the 3100.
I'm guessing a likely follow-on to the 3100 similar to the 7200 vs the 7000. That said, the 3100 is still really recent, so a revamp wouldn't make a lot of sense.
Anyone else like to speculate on these?

Anyone seen a picture of these speakers or know what is new about them vs the 3100?
Is the Meridian stand fastened by screws to the 3100 speaker?

I wonder if they are flatter for optional on-wall mounting? Wouldn't need the stands though.

They sound like a direct replacement to me. I suspect that sonically there won't be much difference (as Ken points out the 3100s are pretty new), but the main change will be the addition of an RJ45 jack on the back of each speaker. Plus some cosmetic changes no doubt.

Yes, the stands are fastened to the 3100s via 4 screws.
Setup 1: G91A, Mach 2 mac mini, PS Audio Direct Stream DAC, Genesis M60 Mono Blocks,Genesis 5.2s, DTV Sat, Synology DS710+, , Pure Av power conditioner, Pio Elite 60" plasma.
Setup 2: Wadia 151 PowerDac, Rel Strata Sub, Wilson Audio Watts 5.1, Wadia iPod Dock.
