Okay, it's that time of year; and I'm now posting up the Meridian Q&A starter... Please post your questions here. Let's try not to rehash the same questions if it is at all possible. We know M knows that HDMI is really important to us as a community and I would imagine it's in their gunsights The cut off for new questions is 29 August (two weeks from now) at 11:59pm This gives me time to do formatting and to get the questions off to JRS and staff in advance of the show. Cheers,

Meridian Room Corection needs work. It's fussy and hard to get even back to back repeatable results. When will we see a new pass at refining it.
We've seen little followup on answers to previous years questions. Namely confirmed bugs that need fixes.

When is the iPod dock / lead going to be ready for the F80? What capabilities will it have and will it resolve some of the poor audio quality issues that seem to affect some iPods using their internal analogue connections.

What do they think about the concept of "squeezebox in a DSP speaker" ?

HD player plans ? Blu and/or Hd ? The performance similarities ( and bugs ) between my Toshiba and 598 have convinced me that M could very easily get involved at this stage . ~M~
Mostly harmless. Comfortably numb.

Built-in Wi-Fi for the F80 to enable playing internet radio and songs from your music library. Or built into the iPod dock.

What about plans to upgrade the current range of speakers (or release new) with ethernet ports. I'm thinking flexibility of installation and power over ethernet.
Also, I will rehash one question, can we please get a definitive answer, yes or no, will Meridian release the G46 (or a variation) and in-wall DSP 300 series and in-wall sub.
Cheers,
Chris PS. JK, how's the job front?

What's Meridian's thoughts on being more green. Smarter power savings. Allowing Users to tradeoff Green vs Pre Warmed up through a set of usre preferences.

Well, of course we have the HDMI question. After that I would like to know if there is any new DVD-A info they can share- eg- new titles or thoughts about where its going. I understand if they cant or wont because this question involves an industry and not just M as a company. Perhaps a Meridian take on the whole music streaming thing where they build a box that would be able to access and output an itunes library- maybe even upsample it? Im sure there are many who have their music in lossless or uncompressed format. Since M seems to not be entering the music server space anymore this might not be a bad idea. It could even have access for an iPod dock. But given the ipods sonic limitations, maybe M should strive to give us the best possible itunes sonic experience. Maybe this is already possible with apple TV? Just a thought.
Would also like to know if there is anything new brewing in the form of new spakers, updates to the 800 series, etc- these are the generic questions we all want to know the answers to and I know that M doesn't comment on things unless they are basically ready for release but its worth asking anyway. Any new MRC developments?
Please pass along our thanks for the warranty extension and the keychain.
best regards, Jerry

JK - I really appreciate the work you put into these sessions.
However, this year I'm feeling a bit deflated. I know that every question I've thought of would be answered with "Meridian does not comment on future product plans". And M has been so quiet for so long it's obvious (to me) that there must be quite a few things in the pipeline.
I wonder if we could turn the session round and ask JRS to summarize where Meridian is now and where it is going?
