perhaps there was a little sarcasm in the earlier posts???
It does make me laugh though that as a group of people who spend thousands of pounds on our hobby/obsession we would probably have been happier with a mounted circuit board from the bin at the factory!

When I recently purchased my subwoofer B&W invited me to register my product. Their incentive was to offer a choice between four specially recorded CD's, which, in my opinion, was in keeping with the product being registered. I believed it was a proper reflection of B&W's appreciation for purchasing their product - and is likely to influence future purchases.
Also, last year, I tentatively approached B&O for information on possible purchases. Unexpectedly, amongst the product literature was a plush two-page cardboard sleeve with some 'heavyweight' mysterious object inserted inside. The object was a work of art and is a worthy collectable - unlike the shabby Meridian offering.
Strange as it may seem it wasn't immediately apparent as to exactly what it was - but was in fact a B&O logo-shaped bottle opener. The subliminal message was ' have a drink on us' while watching your B&O flat-screen television. Even though I'm tea-total I was impressed with the free gift (which is stored in safe-keeping) - and it is a graciously received reminder to consider B&O in the future.

Yes. Amazing what bribes a company will come up with to get you to buy a product. Its how a company treats you when you have bought into the product that counts. As many of us have found, with Meridian, it extends well beyond a Ferrari (can I have a McLaren one instead please? ) key ring and an extra year on the warranty.

Meridian key fob or B&O logo-shaped bottle opener? Hummm....I wonder which company's products sound better?
Seriously, as this thread reveals, I think the real problem is that until we hear from Meridian concerning its HDMI solution, the high level of discussion about Meridian products is going to be well down. This kind of thread is probably just a reflection of the dissatisfaction and impatience over the silence on Meridian's part on the pressing issue of HDMI connection. I suspect no one is going to part with any serious money (aside from an F80 splurge) until the issue is resolved. I wonder what the impact is from a commercial point of view on custom installers' use of Meridian products?
Speaking of custom install products, are any of the the C-series of products in production and available yet?
Me, I'm just cruising along loving my system (see signature).
Meridian, thanks in advance for the key fob. I can't wait to receive it. If anyone doesn't want their's, e-mail me for my address at faberryman_at_gmail.com. Here is another idea: the next time one of your friends comes over and is stunned by the sound of your Meridian system, give him the key fob as a reminder of his experience. It will serve as a subliminal reminder of what to do when he goes shopping for his next hi-fi or home theater system.

Frank, I didn't realise that Meridian manufactured flat-screen televisions. I guess on that count, B&O's products look far superior

The letter from Meridian thanking me for my purchases a year later: Unparalled.
A collector's item Meridian key fob: A salute to our passion.
A three year warranty: Priceless.

I've been away for a week; opened my mail just now and got my key thing. I then just wondered what HH would have made of it....just as I thought.
Off to chase the dribbling cows again!!!

I'm not sure Meridian's carrying pigeons can fly as far as Australia. No sign of any gift.

Chris1971, have patience...I got home today to find both the letter as well as the key chain in the mail -- albeit, a cheap key chain at that.
That said, I will point out this fact...this is the least expensive and thus best value extended warranty I have ever pucrhased...it is priceless because the cost is $0!!!

Evil bro, we have swapped enough emails by now, and I've spent enough time on this forum, you think you could drop the 1971 when replying
