For crying out loud - the letter from Meridian confirms that you've just got an extra years warranty on the product registered. That must surely be worth something? Bung in a keyring and suddenly you're being fobbed off?
In my particular case it means the warranty ran out one year ago instead of two  The keyring on the other hand is most definatey leather, butt end I'd say.

Don't know, since you have to look into the mouth to be sure.

Well I like my Keyfob, almost as much as an extra years warranty. I have never had anything from any other company. From Meridian I now have had:- 1. Great products and service. 2. A free lunch at the free factory tour. 3. An opportunity to meet the men at the top. 4. A very generouse 'Goody Bag'. 5. The opportunity to meet some great Hitchhikers. 6. The envy of every non Meridian 'Muggle' who has had the chance to listen to my system. All in all, we never had it so good. I for one say, thank you Meridian............ Cheers, Chris P.S. The F80 is performing brilliantly, it certainly is getting alot of use. SWMBO luvs it.
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

I didn't think there was such a thing as No.2 above!
I'm blown away with some of the (negative) comments above. You get an extra year's warranty for filling in a few details - I think that's excellent, and I like unusual key fobs...get a grip!
I get the feeling that if Meridian had sent out shoelaces, there would be someone to complain they weren't labelled "left" and "right", or "I've got three feet..."
Time for bed.
G91, G68, 5x DSP33, SW1600, HD621. Red F80 and dock.

I endorse the comments made by Chris though I did not get to visit the factory. I would have thought that people like us who invest a great deal of money in our systems realise that superb quality comes at a heft price so the gift was always going to be simply a token of thanks for our custom. Recently there were comments about being taken over, trading at a loss etc, hardly the time for extravagant gifts. I for one am very happy with my key fob.
