Ill look it up later- I can re rip this disc as apple lossless just to see.
I suspect it will be that apple lossless is about 50% file size reduction from the original and the 256kps AAC would be about 50% of that - thats my guess- lets see if it pans out as true.
so true Dog- where we stand is I have to call you "Dawg" and listen to American Idol on MP3@96kps!
Although DVD-A sounds better than CD, as we know, so much depends on the mastering and in general, the typical CD played back through the M gear leaves me very satisfied. As we've seen with the Genesis releases, even lossy at higher resolutions can be convincing. I do have to say that I have not listened to the Yes Fragile DVD-A recently but I always thought it sounded wonderful.
