sorry to hear about your problems.

imo, Meridian is an audio company. they have yet ime to do anything with video that is anywhere near as impressive as what they do with audio.

i hope that'll change over time, but we'll see.

i own a 598 and would happily swap it out for a better player if it weren't for the money i've got sunk into it (unit, sdi mod, etc.) and the hassle of reprogramming the crestron system.

doody.

I know its a transatlantic call, but have you phoned Meridian UK? You would probably get to speak to discuss the matter with the guy actually responsible for designing, building and calibrating your product rather than get it 2nd or 3rd hand through your dealer or Meridian US.

You experience may also assist Meridian in sorting out your problem quicker.

E Mails can easily be lost in a Spam folder.

Really a call would be best as I think they would realy like this to be sorted.

They may have no idea your so upset here.

Good luck, Chris smile

I told my dealer that I no longer want the PJ and they should tell M. to come get it- we will see what happens- You guys are right =I spent WAY to mutch $ to be a guinea pig for them- Not one call from anyone there at M -USA- I know personally that Norm(VP?) was aware and was just over in the UK and still nothing!!!
I must say I have lost a lot of respect for this company- Any thought who I should call over there??- thanks so much- I can't handle the wife keep asking me when are we going to watch a movie??- It's embarrasing!!!

The phone contact is on the Meridian web site. Just ask for tech support (normally Edd or Des) and they will already know who would be best to deal with your problem. I would like to think that they would call you back.

I have to agree w/i sns in that (i) M America cannot hold a candle to M UK and (ii) I am the most loyal M user...that said, whenever I have a question I ALWAYS call M UK because it is cheaper in the long run as the problem will get solved right out of the box.

In terms of a projector -- you have a GREAT one...were it me I would work out an arrangement whereby I got my money back until the damn thing worked...that should motivate a few people.

OK guys - need your thoughts- Do I :-
1- get my money back and start over
2- have them take back the processor and get a Crystillio II
3-I want to be able to use a 12' wide 2.35 screen- will this PJ do that?? I already am selling my SR screen because it does have not have enough gain(.95)- If so what screen would you guys recommend?
4- have them give me the new prime lens that supposedly will increase lumens and contrast ratio-

Since it has been many months (July) since I paid for this PJ will the NEW mf-1 be around the corner and I have an old PJ before I even get a chance to fully use it??

Not sure which way to proceed and would TRULY appreciate any and all opinions before I call M uk- thanks so much for all your help- gary

I have mostly dealt with M America and they have treated me great. One thing I've learned the hard way, when your upset don't lose it, stay calm and polite. If you lose it, you lose everything.

based on the data you've shared here, my advice is to get your money back and start over. imo this is your dealer's problem really, not M's.

the projector and video processor market is moving pretty fast. you've got a 7+ month old product that will be surpassed shortly. someone screwed up and you should start fresh for this kind of money.

g/l.
