As you can see from the above, the D8k`s have 192KHz / 24 bit DAC`s and can decode such a stream.

However, upsampling is only to 88.2 and 96k.

The D8k user manual says that “192kHz supported with special firmware and cabling; details available on request”

I guess more information will become available around the time of the 800.3 and 861.3 upgrades to DVD-A.
