Oz, what's wrong with a G68/HDMAX 421 solution? The G68 will switch the HDMI inputs on the HDMAX via comms.

Radiient Technologies make a HDMI switch with auto switching. They also claim to have had a hand in inventing HDMI technology. http://www.radiient.com

VK,
Did you notice the one that Elliot was using at PJ Hifi?
I think it was a 19" rack mount but he said it was only a couple of hundred quid.

I think it was a Gefen, IIRC. Definitely an option.
Not going to buy anything until after the 10th!

No no no! I meant that I'm holding back to see if I can get more info on a likely Meridian HDMI solution before I buy any HDMI switching kit! If I don't get the information I need at the factory tour (10th) then I never will and might as well just buy a switch...

Check this one out. They are on clearance. It's a 4xHDMI switcher and gives you 4 optical and 4 coax as well. HDCP compatible. It also does some basic video processing (scaling sizing etc.). Rack mountable. http://www.digitalconnection.com/Products/Video/kdhdmi4x1.asp

If Meridian didn't announce HDMI solution at CES or JK's interview I really doubt they will show their hand at this tour. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm also realistic.

Hi George - I'm setting my expectations for the 10th to simply have a great day out. If some of my questions are answered then great, but I'm not expecting Meridian's secrets to be flooding out of the factory gates.
The main question I have is not what solution will be made available and when, but what factors will influence the eventual solution. Critically, I would like to know whether or not Meridian feels it needs to get hold of the HDMI stream before anyone else does anything to it (even if it is "just" audio delay).

I'm just hoping that Meridian does not get pounded by HDMI like questions and get discouraged from this sort of opportunity in the future.
I suspect you won't be getting a tour of R&D :-)
