"Many of have a computer already connected for serving A/V to the system; With this, I would love to sit in my sweet spot and play with M-Config / MRC using my wireless laptop...
Although, I agree with your point's premise - It really is just a convenience when it boils down to it. Never-the-less, a convenient tool gets used more often and more experimentally than otherwise"
It just popped into my head that you can already do this in a very round-about way. Connect a PC to your Meridian processor and run the Meridian Controller app. From a wifi enabled PocketPC, Remote Desktop into the PC and you can control the Meridian app.
Elegant? Not really, but it works today.

Good point M-506; If you already operate a PC based media server this would even be a more integrated experience....

Have you run Remote Desktop from a PPC? It works but it's pretty painful.
