To add my tuppence worth, I use a MacBookPro with an external hard drive sending I-tunes wirelessly via an airport express to a receiver. The airport express is connected to the receiver via a tos cable with a mini tos adapter at the express end. To be honest I am pretty happy with the result and the convenience factor is high. Recently I dabbled with vyinl which sounded good however it was all too much hassle and took too much time. At the end of the day, like, I suspect many of us, I don't have the time to sit down and listen critically. However sometimes I wonder if I get more caught up with the technology instead of just enjoying the result.
