sooooo--- I am at 2.2 and I tried turning the xa1 off and even unplugging. nothing worked. Until I tried a firmware update anyway- it said Im already good and it took a few minutes to reboot/ recycle. Now VE works! Go figure.

And- in the mean time the Crystalio firmware was updated and it now detects between 601/709 and....... its working right! Im in the right color space- the DVE test results were nearly spot on.

now if they could only resolve their 24fps cadence lock issue... grrr
