There is a hack yes (and getting it to run with a PC is how those guys managed to find all the AACS encryption keys). I'd like the console itself though now that I have seen a good deal, and it's a surprise just how good playback of HD DVD via the 360 is [there are some audio issues a forthcoming software update is meant to iron out however]. I`m just still apprehensive about investing right now for numerous reasons, so in a way I'm where three of you where before the Marky Bar kid rode into town (the difference being that I know what I'm misisng out on before owning any kind of playback device smile ). I accept what`s been said with regards to the thought that even if it does fail, its not as if one`s collection of discs would stop working the day a format dies.
